Stave P, it depends on the area. I needed about 18ft by 70ft and think it was about £3k all in or something like that, can't really remember as I was getting loads of work done in the house so was just chucking money around.
JLAP. This is not the stuff that you get on a greengrocers stall. Looks and feels pretty real and is guaranteed for 15 years. You can even bleach the stuff now if your dog shits on it and it doesn't fade.

Got it last year from a company called Herringbone driveways from Romford. They had a crew of around 10 blokes that done everything in a day, inc digging out and adding all the sand. They put in a great shift and mostly hammers as well.
Some of the best money I've ever spent, I look out at all the other saps spending hours every week getting their lawns looking like bowling greens and then it looks like shit and can't be used for about 6 months a year as soon as we get a bit of rain. My kids have been playing football and on their segways all through the winter.
